ABOUT US

We have been 'walking with Wolfhounds' for over 20 years; since our boys were toddlers. Our interest in dogs has been lifelong. I was a professional dog groomer prior to marrying BJ and also showed toy breeds, a hobby that my family shared. It seems that 'love me. love my dog' was a part of our partnership when we married. Shih Tzu were my only dogs at that time although I had owned several other breeds as a child. Our first Wolfhound spoiled us, however; no matter what other breeds we brought into our lives we always tried to have a Wolfhound by our side.

Three years ago we took the bold jump and bought 5 acres in Stamping Ground, Kentucky. We built our dream home and a 800 square foot kennel, which we are still completing. Hopefully this will be within the next year which will allow our dogs the comforts they deserve with freedom to excercise at will. This will take time and more money than we have right now, but we have our goals:

The house contains a dedicated nursery room for the expectant mothers and their puppies; giving them a place with a controlled environment and quiet. Here the pups stay until they are adopted by their new parents; destined to give a lifetime of unconditional love. Most puppies are available to pick up at seven weeks, although one can be held with a deposit at any time after 2 weeks old. We seldom move puppies to the kennel situation earlier than 4 months; we use this time to socialize them and teach them basic crate training and begin potty training. Of course, our goal is to have them into their forever homes when they are the most adaptable, from seven to ten weeks.
